Aaron Rose Aaron Rose

this is a before-and-after moment

I’m writing this as my household prepares to turn off our devices and enter 36 hours of stillness, reflection, and meditation before, during, and after Monday's total solar eclipse.

Eclipses are catalytic threshold moments, individually and collectively. When a lot is stirred up in the outer world and energies are running high, in my experience, it’s the best time to go within.

I sent an extended energy update with recommendations for navigating the eclipse to my mission membership community (more on that soon!), and I wanted to pop in here before I go offline to share some key headlines:

First of all, what is an eclipse?

Energetically, it’s a massive reset. The light frequencies and magnetic forces of our local luminaries (the sun and moon) are interrupted, and when they turn back on, everything is different.

Each eclipse affects some people more than others (depending on which area of life it’s activating for you personally).

I’ve watched certain eclipse cycles come and go with more subtle impacts. And other eclipses have felt like being teleported into a different dimension. Some of the most significant before-and-after moments in my life have occurred during eclipse seasons.

To me, solar eclipses in particular feel like the entire simulation of Earth is being restarted like a computer. Old programs are deleted, and new software gets installed.

I’ve studied astrology for years, yet my eclipse perspectives and recommendations come more from my lived experience of consciously moving through previous eclipses and tracking the cycles back through my entire life.

Overall, I recommend finding your center, breathing deeply, and doing your best to remain in the witness seat over the next few days.

Observe what’s triggering you and what’s happening around you. Take notes on what the mirror of your life is showing you.

What cycles, patterns, or contracts are expired and departing? What is arriving — what is new, fresh, and life-giving?

Life is always a mirror, but it’s EXTRA reflective during eclipse season!

I also agree with the general astrological advice that it’s not a good time to set intentions.

Efforting with your personal will to make something happen right now is not the move, whether it’s something as small as rushing to cut someone off and get a better parking space, or bigger life choices, such as changing jobs or moving homes.

God is moving things FOR you! Take a moment to feel your sincere desire to be on your highest destiny timeline, and then watch and notice what happens.

Trying to make things happen right now is like paddling frantically while the boat you’re in is already moving swiftly along the river. At best, you’ll exhaust yourself and miss the view; at worst, you’ll create unnecessary friction and possibly get soaked.

I also recommend being somewhere where you have the energetic authority rather than unconsciously immersing yourself in a crowd (either because you feel obligated or because you're chasing a high).

Some people are genuinely, divinely called to attend a party or a big festival. Others are better served by just chillin’ out somewhere peaceful, and meditating, resting, or creating things that bring them joy.

Finally, total solar eclipses are catalytic moments of collective awakening. Veils are dissolved, rugs are pulled, reality is rearranged, and new identities are illuminated.

And, this one especially, marks a new beginning.

Because of that, for a specific soul group, this eclipse is creating a distinct before-and-after moment related to answering the call of your divine mission.

If you are part of this group, you will look back on April 2024 with clear hindsight and see that it initiated you into a whole new level of devotion to your values, commitment to your creations, and understanding of who you really are and what you’re here to do.

As more of humanity awakens — to both the finite control system they’ve been living within AND the infinite power of their eternal soul and their loving Creator — many more souls are being called forward to serve.

And those who are already walking the path are serving in new ways and allowing their gifts to take new forms. (I go deeper into this in a recent video: “New waves of awakening, new leaders being called forward”).

Showing up to serve is not about being anyone’s savior or waking anyone up.

It’s about playing our part in the larger story and offering what we’ve learned from our personal journey as a form of service to the whole. That may take the form of an artistic creation, educational transmission, experiential offering, a service-based exchange, or many, many other things!

If you are part of the soul group being activated to take your mission and your creations to the next level, I have two resources for you:

1 - Mission Template Readings: These are one- or two-hour readings that explore your unique gifts and the design of your soul’s mission on Earth in this life. Here’s what someone said after her recent reading:

“I felt so incredibly seen and understood. Aaron’s pure channel with the Divine is genuine and truly healing. After our call, I felt like my reality had shifted in such a subtle yet profound way — like an energetic chiropractic adjustment. I have been more able to unapologetically show up in life with a newfound confidence in who I am, and that is invaluable!”

Want my intuitive sight on your timeless design and timely next steps? Book a reading here: 60-minute (condensed) | 2-hour (comprehensive)

2 - Mission Spring: This is a 6-person group coaching experience for people who are emerging from an inner winter into a mission spring. In our 90-day journey, everyone is preparing to launch into a new season of expression and contribution together.

My mind told me I didn’t need to mention Mission Spring here since we only have one spot left and a few applications are in process, but my intuition said: tell them! Perhaps one of you reading this is the person who is meant to complete our group.

If you feel called and want to know more, reply to this email, and I’ll send you the details. I’m reviewing applications this weekend, and our journey will begin after the eclipse.

Alright, I’m off to finish my pre-eclipse work and retreat preparations!

One final reminder: If anyone’s eclipse predictions feel fear-inducing, you don’t need to take that on or participate in a doomsday story about whatever seeming chaos is being foretold.

Yes, cosmic phenomena impact human bodies on Earth. And also, you are protected and guided by your eternal essence and infinitely loving Creator. As Paramahansa Yogananda said, “The soul is ever free. It cannot be regimented by the stars.”

Remember who you are, call upon divine support, and focus your attention on amplifying and BEING the good in this world.

I hope this served you. I’ll see you on the other side of the portal!

With love,

Aaron

P.S. Here's another quote from Paramahansa Yogananda that describes a great way to spend the eclipse day: “Read a little. Meditate more. Think of God all the time.” :)

Divine reminders for you

I spent this weekend integrating the massive energy upgrades that moved through Answer The Call. (Integrating for me means time in nature, time in water, and time writing / journaling / talking to God.)

A powerful group of mission souls came together for an epic activation of the next level of our divine missions.

We laughed, we cried, we surrendered our fears, we saw ourselves through the eyes of God, and we committed to fulfilling our potential and being conduits for miracles during this time of great change.

Sooo many powerful messages came through for the group…

And this morning I woke up knowing that I wanted to share a few with you, dear email reader.

As a sincere thank you for being part of my email squad, and as a boost for you on your mission path, if you need it.

Divine Reminder #1: “You would not be given the task without the means to accomplish it.”

This is a quote from A Course in Miracles. There’s something so freeing and energizing about realizing that your creative ideas, your biggest dreams, your most heart-opening desires all come from God.

These visions come from the divine mind. And the means for their fruition also come from God.

If you have a beautiful dream and you don’t know how it’s going to come true… congrats, you have officially entered the realm of miracles!

If you can’t do it by yourself, then you’re on the threshold of a major season of spiritual growth, one that’s going to develop your capacity to be led by God and to create what others would consider to be impossible.

The resources, the insight, the supporters, and anything else that you need will show up, if you’re willing to let go of the story of “it can’t be done” and open up to divine direction.

Divine Reminder #2: Your past is data collection for your mission. (Your present, too!)

As the bridge-building generation, many of us have had reeeeally intense, traumatic experiences within the old control-based systems built upon fear, scarcity, and suffering.

The programming of these systems would have you believe that these experiences disqualify you from success / happiness / fulfillment because they broke you in some way.

On the contrary, you’re actually uniquely positioned to become the solution to the problem you’ve experienced.

If you’ve always been an outcast, God can turn you into a beacon of belonging for other misfits.

If you never had a loving family, God will show you how to create a safe and nurturing home.

If you’ve been harmed by an old world religious institution, God may appoint you as the steward of a new spiritual oasis.

What pains you the most is just as much an indicator of what you’re here to contribute as what “lights you up” the most.

Any challenge you’ve been through (or are currently going through!), no matter how difficult, can be composted into the fertile soil in which new life can grow.

Divine Reminder #3: You are here for an important reason!

If you are reading these emails, nodding your head, and feeling a resonance with what I’m saying… congrats, you are here to be a leader in the creation of a world where we all thrive!

If you weren’t… you wouldn’t be reading this, you wouldn’t be grappling with questions around your purpose and potential, and you wouldn’t be digging deep to reconnect with yourself and God.

And what is that very important reason for your unique existence?

High level, it’s to return to love. To heal yourself and heal the world. To awaken to your true nature as an infinitely loved child of God.

Human level, that return to love, that healing, that awakening, is going to look very different for everyone. Love wants to express uniquely through you, through different projects, gifts, and connections.

You won’t be given the whole picture right away, because part of your mission is also to rehabilitate your capacity to go beyond the programming of the mind and be guided intuitively. To walk by faith and not by sight. To remember how to trust yourself and life and God.

And, again, you would not be given the task without the means to accomplish it!

Alright, I’ll leave it here for now :)

I’m off to go spend the day doing one of my favorite things: creating! I’ve got a full day of writing and recording ahead of me. All planets are still direct and my own mission message lately has been “all systems go!” Sooo off I go!

I hope these messages serve you.

Lots of love!

Aaron

P.S. If you want an extra dose of divine inspiration for today, listen to my “remember who you are” playlist — I’ve added a few songs since I last shared it in the fall.

Don’t let this happen to you

The other day my friend sent me a text thanking me for my 2024 forecast and prep session.

He had just watched the replay, and this is what he said:

“The biggest thing I took away from it is the fullest permission to create and design our life no matter what is going on in the world. I really needed to hear that.”

That made me SO happy to hear. If there’s one message I could yell from the rooftops for all of humanity to hear right now, it would be: you are a powerful creator, and the world we all live in is co-created by where you put your energy, the stories you tell about yourself and others, and what you believe is possible.

We’re in a massive transition between old and new. God / Love has already won, but we’re still living the linear unfolding of that actually manifesting fully in the 3D.

The old finite consumptive system is crumbling, and it’s doing its darndest to take down as many beings as it can with it.

There’s a major battle over your energy, attention, and intentions.

And one of the old system’s greatest weapons is distraction and delay – pulling your energy into fueling despair, disconnection, and fear, and delaying you from creating your amazing visions right here and now.

Don’t let this happen to you!

Your dreams matter. You are here to be a conduit for miracles. You are meant to birth creations that benefit many many people, and nourish you in the process.

So, if you’ve been letting your precious life force be drained into old trauma dramas…

Or you’ve been feeling like you can’t be happy / healthy / creative because of whatever is going on in the wider world…

Or you've been questioning if your contribution will even make a difference...

This is your permission slip to STOP THAT and commit to your dreams like your life depends upon it (because it does).

It’s only through saying YES to thriving, to healing, to amplifying love, joy, and connection that we will bridge our way into our new experience of life on Earth, for the highest good of all.

And if you have the consciousness to read this email and understand what I’m saying, you are 100% part of the soul group who is here to lead the way.

I encourage you to take at least a few minutes today to make a list of where your energy has been being drained, and make an action plan for calling your focus back.

Then, make a list of the creations / experiences / offerings you have been delaying bringing into form because you’ve been believing that it’s impossible based on external circumstances.

Finally, pick one simple next right action that you can do to start making your vision real. Ask God to help you do it. And then DO IT. Email me when it’s done if you need external accountability.

Big change is made of small moments of choosing to do something new. Every little step counts.

I believe in you!

God has been preparing you

Since I last wrote I’ve been focused on facilitating the Mission Template Immersion, and I’ve also been receiving lots of divine instructions for the next phase of my own mission.

It’s been really potent and inspiring!

I can feel the waves of activation and awakening rolling through the collective. I can see how God is working on leaders to mold us into who we need to be for what’s coming.

This week in the immersion we explored the cycle of mission seasons – how we go through different phases of internal and external focus, endings and beginnings, clearing and creating.

So many people I know have been in a winter (including myself!) — a time of completion, introspection, and reorganization. A time when what once was falls away, and you breathe into the void between old and new, getting ready for what your soul knows is next, even if your mind can’t predict what you’ll do.

Sometimes God places you in the dark to train you to be the light.

In my experience, the bigger and brighter your next level is, the more intense the preparation can be.

For example: Olympic athletes have to train a lot harder that casual recreation league players.

And what’s required on your mission may confuse or surprise your mind.

Sometimes your mission involves being externally visible and outwardly creative.

And sometimes your mission is about turning inward to take out the trash of expired patterns (personal, ancestral, and collective), so that what you build next is actually new. Not just a shinier version of the same old same old.

Your overall mission is to restore yourself to your original divine design, to bridge Heaven and Earth, and to reunite with the truth of divine love. That’s a BEING before it’s a DOING.

Anything you do from the energy of the old (lack, fear, separation) will only create more of it. So your mission will call you to continually upgrade your frequency, so that when you do make big moves in the outer world, they can create ripples of coherence, love, and liberation for all.

If you’ve been in an inner winter, a period of deconstruction and uncertainty, and you feel spring on the horizon, I want to remind you of a few things:

1 – Nothing is wasted. Everything you’ve been through can be composted to make the fertile soil of your next chapter. At this very moment, the seeds of the new are already gestating beneath the surface.

Let the past fall away, trusting that God has a plan for how every trial or seeming dead end will be miraculously transformed for the highest good of all.

2 – You walk by faith and not by sight.

The path to the new is uncharted. That’s the point! Even if your human self feels confused, your soul knows you came here for this amazing creative challenge and opportunity.

Don’t let uncertainty convince you that you’re doing something wrong, or that you should know more.

You’re learning how to see in the dark. You’re strengthening your ability to hear God’s voice. You’re growing your capacity to see beyond what is to what can be. These abilities are essential leadership skills for where we’re going next.

3 – You were made for this moment!

Don’t doubt your purpose. If you’re here, breathing, reading this, after all you’ve been through, you’re not done yet. God is already turning last season’s decay into the fresh sprouts of a new era.

Your job is to renew your faith, to receive the lessons of your initiations, and to rise up, willing to follow the divine command, wherever it may lead.

I believe in you! I really truly do.

this changed my life

One of the most significant days of my life was when my first mentor did a deep dive with me on my soul's blueprint — the lessons I came to learn, the gifts I came to share, and much more.

I had never received such a clear reflection of who I was.

My mind struggled to process some of the information, but my body and heart felt the liberating resonance of TRUTH.

It was like my soul woke up inside my body.

I remembered why I was here.

I felt a renewed sense of courage, inspiration, and confidence.

After our session, I walked around my neighborhood like I was floating on a cloud.

As I strolled the streets of Brooklyn, I contemplated whether it was time to go all in on my spiritual path (at the time, I was still in the metaphysical closet)...and what that even meant.

A few moments later, a truck drove by that said: “Follow Light Path.” I kid you not!

This was years ago, and I’m still realizing deeper truths and being inspired in new ways by what I received that day.

Seeing yourself reflected so clearly at a soul level can be a game changer. Before and beyond all the conditioning, traumatic experiences, and external expectations, it’s a glimpse of the eternal you.

Although I’ve been clear about my mission and my design for many years now, I still prioritize time with these sacred mirrors. I meet with trusted mentors and guides to continue to deepen my remembrance and discover new ways of expressing my gifts as service.

The significance of being truly seen is one of the guiding principles of my work. From that point of clear reflection, gifts that were hiding in plain sight are illuminated, and your self-concept and sense of what’s possible are expanded.

This is why I begin all of my 1:1 work with a deep dive into each person’s unique design, mission architecture, and innate gifts.

This process has evolved into the Mission Template Reading — a synthesis of human design, astrology, the I Ching, and my intuitive insight into your divine design.

There aren’t enough hours in the day to do a personalized Mission Template Reading for everyone (though I wish there were — I love doing them!).

So in January, I’m leading a Mission Template Immersion with a powerful group of mission souls — yay!

In the immersion, you’ll learn more about key aspects of your divine blueprint, identify your gifts and clarify how they want to be expressed, design a month-by-month Mission Map for 2024, and strengthen your inner knowing about who you are and what your service is to the greater whole.

>> Click here to learn more and sign up.

I’m super excited about the group that’s forming so far! Everyone is courageous, committed, and diverse in terms of the work they’re doing in the world.

If you feel called, check it out! Early bird enrollment is $333 until December 28th.

2024 is going to be a potent year. And, if you’re reading this, you have gifts that can support the world through this next season of upheaval and transformation.

Much love,

Aaron

Florence Scovel Shinn prayers

Florence Scovel Shinn was a 20th century metaphysician who wrote about the truth of God’s protection and provision, the power of the spoken word, and the promise of how beautiful life can be, if we understand how to work with divine law. I recommend that you pick phrases that truly resonate within you, that give you a sense of power and possibility, and speak them on a daily basis.

I give thanks that all that is mine by divine right is given to me now under grace in a perfect way.

I put every situation in the hands of Infinite Intelligence. Let the Divine Idea now come to pass.

The Christ in me is risen. I now fulfill my destiny.

I am surrounded by the White Light of the Christ, through which nothing negative can penetrate.

I walk in the Light of the Christ and my fear giants dwindle into nothingness. There is nothing to oppose my good.

I call upon the law of forgiveness. I am free from mistakes and the consequences of mistakes. I am under grace and not under karmic law.

I cast every burden on the Christ within and I go free.

Every plan my Father in heaven has not planned is dissolved and obliterated and the Divine Design now comes to pass.

There is no loss in the Divine Mind, therefore, I cannot lose anything that is rightfully mine. It will be restored or I will receive its equivalent.

The Christ within now rebukes the winds and waves and there comes a great calm. I see clearly peace established on land and sea.

There is no power in evil. It is nothing, therefore can only come to nothing.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

All enemy thought is wiped out. I am victorious.

God’s plans for me are built upon a rock. As I have asked I must receive.

My seemingly impossible good now comes to pass. The unexpected now happens.

I forgive everyone and everyone forgives me. The gates swing open for my good.

All obstacles now vanish from my pathway. I enter the Kingdom of fulfillment under grace.

THE CHRIST IN ME IS RISEN. I NOW FULFILL MY DESTINY.

the power of optimism

The sun entered Sagittarius today! Sag is the patron saint of optimism and delights in finding silver linings in unexpected places.

As a Sag rising, the realm of infinite possibility is my happy place.

I truly feel like optimism is one of the most life-giving and revolutionary perspectives we can cultivate, especially in a world that’s been doin’ its best to convince us that we’re all doomed.

Cultivating optimism — a devotion to our inner light, a connection to the inherent goodness of life, a hope in miracles still unseen — is not wishful thinking.

Optimism knows that, in a world where belief determines perception, being radically available to the miraculous is the only logical approach. Optimism calls us to master the art of seeing beyond what is, to what can and will be. Optimism means not letting fear have the final say.

Even in the darkest times, there’s an inexplicable faith in the universal good that fueled me.

Viktor Frankl famously wrote: “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”

The greatest control “evil” has over us is convincing us that we are powerless. Because once we collapse into the story that all hope is lost…well then, we’re done for. We are powerful creators — what we accept as true will be.

If we’re stuck in a doomsday narrative, then we are closed off from the solutions that would allow us to live a more beautiful story. If we’re willing to have a new experience, we’ll be shown how to get there, one way or another. Easy? Not necessarily. Possible? Always.

Yes, there’s so much fear, hatred, conflict, and deeply destructive energy plaguing this world. Yet, there’s still kindness, joy, generosity, beauty, and so many miraculous forces that continue to create life.

And there’s never been a better time than right now to keep our hearts open in the face of suffering, nurture our sense of possibility, and cultivate our capacity to carry more and more love into this world.

If you want to keep the spirit of optimism alive within you, reflect on these questions:

What would you do if you had just a little more faith — in yourself and in life?

What prayer would you pray if you knew it would be answered — for yourself and for the world?

What’s one aligned action you can take TODAY based on your answers above?

Perhaps you can find a few minutes today to journal on these prompts. Feel free to reply and let me know what came through for you.

I’ll close with a few Sagittarian hype man reminders: You are so divinely supported! Miracles are already here — for you and me and all of us. And the best is yet to come. For real!

Lots of love,

Aaron rose-colored glasses

morning meeting with God

Every morning I go outside to greet the day and have a meeting with God.

Sometimes it lasts 1 minute. Other times it’s 20 minutes or more.

I put my bare feet on the Earth, take some deep breaths, and say the third step prayer: “My will to Thy will.”

Then I have an honest chat with God.

I share out loud whatever’s on my heart and mind, asking for clear guidance and miraculous divine intervention. I speak the way I would to a trusted friend who was listening without judgment.

Nothing is too big or too small to voice. The more comprehensive my expression is, the better. Whatever I hold back, God can’t help me with. Whatever I surrender, will be transformed.

Florence Scovel Shinn calls this “placing the situation in the hands of infinite intelligence.”

These daily surrenders followed by aligned action have preceded all of the miraculous blessings in my life. I now know that when I ask, it will be given. If (and this is a big if!) I am willing to let go of my small self’s ideas, and follow divine inspiration, especially when it doesn’t make sense to my mind.

When I feel like I’ve expressed myself fully, I say these lines from A Course in Miracles: “Where would You have me go? What would You have me do? What would You have me say, and to whom?”

Whatever I hear in response helps direct my day. This prayer is the reason I’m writing you this email right now! As I stood in the clear crisp morning sunlight, I heard: “write an email, let it be simple, let it be the reminder you’d want your younger self to read.”

So I went inside, picked up my pen, and let it flow. (I almost always write long-hand and then type it up afterwards. My heart speaks much more clearly this way, and it’s a lot harder to write inauthentically when you can see it in your own handwriting!)

During these times of great transformation, I’ve found that this daily meeting with God is absolutely mission critical for me.

Right now, the mental realm is extremely fragmented and chaotic. The mind is easily programmed and influenced. The heart, the gut, the intuition – when filtered through ongoing devotion to the divine plan – are much more reliable compasses.

Remember: you’re here for a reason. Your unique light is very important at this time. Do whatever you can to keep your heart open and your creativity flowing. God has got you! The best is yet to come.

Sending you lots of love,

Aaron

P.S. I wasn’t kidding about the handwriting. Here’s a photo of this email in my journal :)

mind your own business

My teacher Derek O’Neill says that the highest spiritual teaching is “mind your own business.”

He also says: “eyes on your own paper.”

Derek is a high level master with powerful healing abilities, and he’s spent decades having people come to him with all manner of issues they want resolved.

So it’s notable to me that this message is what he repeats as a foundational teaching. (Along with the importance of proper meditation.)

Here’s what I think he means by "mind your own business":

- Stop looking around at other people and forming opinions about them, and redirect your focus inward.

- Stop believing in the illusion of the 3D world and understand that you are the creator of your experience, no matter what other people are doing.

- Take responsibility for what you can control: YOURSELF. Your beliefs, your reactions, and your choices.

My version of “mind your own business” is: water your own garden.

The water is your attention. The garden is your life. (Which may or may not include a literal garden full of flowers and fruits and veggies.)

Your attention is a creative force. It nourishes and gives life to whatever you're focused on.

That could be: your most important relationships; your emotional, mental, and physical health; fulfilling creative projects; community connection; joy, play, optimism, etc.

That could also be: the lives of people you follow online; collective trauma drama; surface-level communication; numbing entertainment; worry, conflict, pessimism, etc.

Your focus is a valuable currency. (Which is why there are multi-billion dollar industries designed to harness your attention and direct it for other people’s profit.)

And the cost of misplaced focus is high.

Putting our energy on things other than our own business sucks the life out of our lives in two ways: 1. We have less capacity to create our dreams, and 2. We are actively creating what we do not want.

Last night I was talking with friends at dinner about the teaching from Neville Goddard (and many other mystics) that whatever you believe about someone else, you’re also believing about yourself.

Florence Scovel Shinn calls this the “boomerang” of judgment, resentment, and lack. If someone isn’t willing to take on your projection, it comes back around and smacks you in the face.

If you’re watering the seed of a certain reality, even if it seems like it’s in someone else’s garden (because your mind thinks it's "their problem") and you’re just peeking over the fence to take a look...

That seed is actually in your garden. And the fruit isn’t gonna be very tasty!

This has been one of the major benefits of me leaving social media. It’s allowed me to take in less data about other people’s lives, which means I’m having fewer unconscious reactions and my precious life force remains MINE to do with what I will.

(By the way, in 2018 Derek famously smashed his iPhone on stage at a workshop and left social media. That was the year I started posting on social media in earnest, so I'm finally catching up and understanding why he did that haha.)

It’s never felt more important to be mastering the art of consciously creating.

Because we’re already creating all the time.

The facts of our personal lives.

The collective chaos we see unfolding, however seemingly outside of our control.

All of this has a cause within ourselves. Whether we see it or not.

We have the power to create ANYTHING!

In my opinion, this is what our “divine mission” / “purpose” ultimately is: to consciously create a life that embodies our deepest values. And let that be our gift to the world.

A big part of this conscious creation is learning how to look beyond any fear, lack, or limitation that would say that what we dream of is impossible. Because it’s not. We’ve just been programmed to think it is.

It’s felt SO much easier to be a responsible creator since leaving social media. There’s a lot less noise in my head, a lot less energetic static in my field, and a lot more space to stay in my own lane and focus on my goals.

If this discussion is resonating, here are some reflection questions for you to consider:

What seems to get in the way of you minding your own business? What regularly pulls you out of presence?

What part of the garden of your life needs more water?

What matters most to you? Are you giving it the energy, focus, and love it needs?

Perhaps you want to take a few minutes and journal about these questions.

And if you’re feeling activated about the topic of distraction and creation and want some support navigating it in your life, I've got a resource for you: REVIVAL.

REVIVAL is a 21 day journey that guides you to release distractions, reclaim your focus, and redirect your life force toward what matters most.

The program focuses on the main distraction of social media and technology, but you’ll find that it gently leads you into a new relationship with anything that you’re putting between yourself and presence. (That can include everything from gossiping to consuming content to unconsciously rushing.)

Once you've gotten a handle on the distraction (and me and God have got some awesome tools for that!), you call back your drained energy, give it to what matters most to you, and reap the rewards.

REVIVAL participants have reported massive increases in clarity, calm, and creativity. They’ve completed projects they’d been putting off, solved problems that had been weighing on them for ages, reconnected with their loved ones...

And they've overall reported a genuine, vital feeling of coming back to life.

Which is the whole point. Yay.

The medicine of REVIVAL has been life-changing for me too. I know I’ll look back on everything I’ve created this year and identify the program tools as a key part of what helped me actually bring the next level of my dreams to life.

These are tools I've used for years, but the specific way I've sequenced them in REVIVAL has made a big difference for me. And it might for you too!

There are two ways to join right now:

There’s a self-study version of the program, in which you receive an email with the day's teaching and practices each day for 21 days.

Alright, I’m off to go water my own garden :)

Which right now means investigating the big snake my partner just found in the garden outside our house. (I’m not kidding, this just happened as I was finishing writing!)

After I receive that potent animal medicine, I’ll write in my journal, review my goals, and make a plan for the rest of my consciously created day.

why your prayers aren’t answered

When I was a kid, saying my nighttime prayers felt like a total bummer.

I was raised by conservative Catholics, which is a long story for another email.

My three little sisters and I all shared a bedroom.

(6 people living in a 1 bedroom apartment in 90s NYC was… intense!)

My parents would tuck us into our side-by-side bunk beds, and they’d prompt us to speak various rehearsed prayers out loud.

As rock music reverberated from the apartments below and sirens blared outside, I would whisper things like “God bless my family” and “our Father who art in Heaven” and “forgive me my trespasses.”

I always felt like I was performing – saying nice things I didn’t really feel or mean in order to be good. Sure, I wanted everyone in my life to be blessed and protected from eternal damnation, but what was the point of saying it out loud?

And, frankly, praying felt pretty disappointing. If God was all-powerful, why was I in such an unrelentingly dire situation? Why didn’t I have what I needed? Did God ever actually answer people’s prayers?

I spent most of the first two decades of my life asking these questions. And I used to get totally triggered and upset any time someone mentioned the words “God” or “prayer.”

Until I encountered the work of awakened metaphysicians and learned about the Universal Laws that govern my reality.

GLORY HALLELUJAH. (Literally, thank God haha)

I learned that my previous prayers weren’t working because I didn’t understand how reality worked!

I had been taught to pray in a totally dissociated and pessimistic way.

I was in the energy of what I didn’t want (poverty, lack of love and support, etc.).

My prayers of supplication – please God, help me! – were only making matters worse, because they were amplifying my state of lack and limitation.

I had to learn how to, as my teacher Derek O’Neill says, “not come to God as a beggar.”

I had to reconnect with my inherent worthiness, before and beyond all the distorted programming.

I had to rehabilitate my intuition, so that I could hear the subtle signs and messages from God that would help bring my prayers into reality.

Neville Goddard wrote: “When you emerge from prayer you no longer seek, for you have—if you have prayed correctly—subconsciously assumed the reality of the state sought.”

This is how I pray now!

And this is the kind of prayer that gets results.

It requires a deep cultivation of faith, not in some imaginary mercurial god, but in the immutable laws of reality, and the power of divine love to transcend all seeming limitations.

What would you pray for if you knew your prayer would be answered?

What needs would you finally admit you have?

What dreams would you finally let yourself dream?

what to do when the world is on fire

I’ve received a bunch of emails this week saying things like…

“Things are getting wild out there”

“The world is on fire”

“We haven't seen the worst yet”

These stories may or may not feel true for you, depending on your perspective.

The ongoing pressure cooker of our collective initiation is undoubtedly intensifying.

All that is misaligned with our true nature (of love) is coming up to be looked at, in often gruesome detail.

Some people are doubling down in fear.

Others are seeing through the illusion, shedding old programming, and creating beautiful new experiences.

If you’re reading this email, you’re probably in the second camp.

The “return to love and create Heaven on Earth” squad.

Or at least, you’d like to be.

Me too!

And, if the last few years have taught me anything, it’s that choosing the path of love and truth requires constant recommitment.

Every day, we’re challenged to see through the manufactured chaos.

To witness our wounds rather than being driven by them.

To remember our power to co-create miracles, right here and now.

So, if you’re feeling at all scared, overwhelmed, or maxed out, I’ve written the following reminders to help you navigate this time with greater ease and empowerment.

Reminder #1: The story you tell is the story you live.

What story are you telling about the world? About your life?

The Bible says, “by your words, you are justified.” This means that we have to deal with the consequences of what we create through the stories we tell.

Often, the stories that are creating your experience are running on autopilot, below the surface of your conscious mind.

These stories are about what you feel is natural and normal.

The key to knowing what your most influential beliefs are is to consider what would make you say: “duh!” or “of course!”

For example:

You get some bad news and think: “Of course!” :( You’re used to being let down. You expect it. You see it. You live it.

Or, an amazing unexpected miracle occurs, and you think: “Duh!” :) You know you’re divinely supported. You expect it. You see it. You live it.

Your perception influences your reality.

Your reticular activating system (fancy words for a data-sifting part of your brain) literally searches for evidence to confirm your beliefs, and discards anything to the contrary.

So, if you’ve been feeling bogged down in doomsday stories, consider how you might open up to new perspectives. To stories of healing, possibility, miracles, and love.

When you become willing to see things in a new way, your experience begins to shift.

You start seeing the good in life again.

You see solutions where before you saw only problems.

You begin trusting God a little more.

Which brings us to reminder number two:

Reminder #2: You are divinely supported. (Yes, you!)

A Course in Miracles says: “The presence of fear is a sure sign we are trusting in our own strength.”

When we’re in fear, we’re looking at a situation and thinking: oh no, I can’t handle this!

We’re forgetting that we don’t have to do it alone.

We have the full force of the Most High at our disposal, here to back us up, to guide us, to make a path where there is seemingly no way.

Whenever I’m praying for help in a situation, I always add: “God, give me the senses to perceive the solutions that are already here.”

Because in this now moment, everything already exists.

It’s simply a matter of perception. If we’re stuck in lack and limitation and are subconsciously attached to the problem continuing, we will miss out on the solutions.

It’s like when you think you’ve lost your keys, and you start getting all worked up about why they’re lost and what’ll happen if you don’t find them.

And you tear around your house looking for them, becoming increasingly agitated as your fruitless search drags on.

Spoiler alert: your keys are in your pocket. They’ve been there all along!

But your sight is constricted. You aren’t available for the solution. You’re focused on the problem.

If you’d take a deep breath and let the drama go, you’d notice your keys. Right where you left them, right where you need them.

Life’s struggles, however big and small, have answers waiting for you just like these “lost” keys.

You need only tune in.

If this concept feels too esoteric and out there, I invite you to give it a practical try.

Take a moment to pray for support, saying: “God, I’m willing to be supported. Let the divine design in this situation be done. Help me see the answers you’ve already laid before me on my path.”

Do your best to really feel the sincerity of your words. Feel your openness to being helped.

And see what happens! (and feel free to report back)

Reminder #3: When in doubt, come back to real life.

Your precious mind and body are not designed to process a constant bombardment of fresh horrors and hot takes from the 24/7 mainstream news cycle.

Not to mention the incessant reactive social media chatter analyzing those headlines and creating new ones.

Especially because the technology through which these stories are reaching you is intentionally designed to keep you hooked.

So, if you’ve been scrolling and staying “updated” on what’s going on in other parts of the world and in other people’s lives, at the detriment of your own life and wellbeing…

And you’re feeling like your brain is trying to process a million pieces of data and your body is revving in overdrive…

You are cordially invited to put down whatever you’re consuming and CHILL.

This may seem like the most basic and repetitive advice, but sometimes things are cliche because they’re true! (We talk about this a lot in my digital detox program REVIVAL.)

Turn off the screen. Put down your phone. And return to reality.

Get local, analogue, and tangible.

Make a gratitude list. Meditate for one breath. Move your body.

Clean your house. Doodle in your journal. Lie on the ground and do nothing.

Go sit on a park bench and smile at people.

The Celtic mystic John O’Donohue wrote: “Television and the computer world are great empty shadow-lands. To look at something that can gaze back at you, or that has a reserve and depth, can heal your eyes and deepen your sense of vision.”

Pull yourself out of the shadow-land and receive the gift of real life.

You can do this no matter where you are.

I’m now blessed to live in an elven forest wonderland, but when I lived in New York City, I’d go find a tree and lean against it and look up at the sky or down at the dirt, amidst the urban cacophony. Or I’d close my eyes on the packed subway and tune in with my own breath and heartbeat.

You can make nourishing contact with reality in all places at all times.

I actually just did this practice before posting this message. After typing in front of a screen for a while, I went outside. I put my feet on the ground, felt the wind on my skin, and soaked up the sunshine. Summer is on its way, and our land is humming with activity – birds, bees, bears, and so many flowers!

Whatever real life looks like for you right now, I hope these reminders serve you.

That’s it for now. I’m off to go knead the einkorn sourdough I’m baking later today :)

Don’t forget: you’re here during this time of great change for a reason.

Your light, your perspective, your creations matter.

Thank you for being you! And thank you for being here, in all the ways here means.

my first memory

One of my first memories is being in church.

I was lying on the hard wooden pew, looking up at the giant ornate cathedral ceiling.

I could hear the distant siren sounds of New York City muffled by the wooden doors and marble walls.

Everyone around me was singing some kind of hymn.

The organ blared along, setting the pace and tone just above a funeral dirge.

But I was singing my own song.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to be exact.

I distinctly remember trying to drown out all the other noises, so I could just hear my own voice.

I even included the new joke I’d learned from my Italian neighbor: replacing “like a diamond in the sky” with “like a giant pizza pie.” Good one, Luigi!

At only three years old, I was already doing my best to set my own frequency, regardless of what everyone else was doing.

I felt queasy every time I walked into church.

It felt cold and damp and off in some way.

Everyone was talking about love, but it felt dead inside.

And no one’s words matched their actions.

As I grew up, going to church became a weekly battle – with me trying everything I could think of to get out of it, and my parents upping the consequences if I didn’t comply and attend.

I felt totally trapped.

And totally unsupported by God.

Whoever “God” was, he didn’t seem very approachable or kind.

I had experienced so much abuse by humans in the name of God, that my young mind didn’t know there was a difference between who they were and who God was.

For years even the mention of God or church was enough to put me in a PTSD blackout.

So it’s truly a total surprise to me that I now speak publicly about the power of being connected to God.

God is wild like that!

Our deepest traumas get turned into gold, for the highest good of all. If we’re willing to stick around long enough for the plot twist and the redemption story.

Now God is at the center of my life and work:

- All of my mentorship and consulting sessions start and end with deep prayer.

-My content and programs help people reconnect with God and live the divine design for their lives.

-And my average day is full of ongoing communication with the Most High.

What changed?

My understanding of who I was AND who God was got a big upgrade.

You see, the way I was taught to see myself and God was: I’m an unworthy sinner. God is a punitive, authoritative overlord. I don’t deserve much. God is pretty pissed off at me.

Fun.

A few decades, several dozen dark nights of the soul, and one cinematic on-my-knees surrender moment later, I now understand that I am inherently worthy of love and support.

And God is here as the ultimate source of that love and support. Rather than relating to God through shame and fear, I get to connect through devotion and care.

And I understand that my life is a co-creation with God. I have the power to use my free will and my awareness of Universal Law to do whatever I want, AND I choose to allow God to guide me, so that my life can be as beautiful as possible.

My Celtic teacher Derek O’Neill talks about not going to God “like a beggar.”

He means: don’t pray like you’re worthless and hoping you’ll catch a lucky break.

Pray like you know you’re worth being supported. Pray like you fully trust that you’re taken care of.

Pray like you know who the eff you are! An empowered creator, a child of God, and a divine soul on a mission of love and truth.

Pray like you know that your prayer has already been answered, because in this now moment, everything already exists.

How would you pray if you felt totally worthy of support?

How would you pray if you didn’t have to beg or prove yourself?

What would you ask for help with, if you knew you’d receive it?

If you’re curious to find out, I host a monthly prayer call on my Patreon.

The prayer call is a space for you to gather with other like-hearted humans, to share what’s going on for you right now, receive personal prayer, and open up to the miracles God has in store for you.

One of my favorite parts of the call is hearing updates from people about all the prayers that haven been answered in the month since our last gathering.

It’s really amazing to see how much can change if we’re willing to receive support, both human and divine!

Join us for our next prayer call here.

P.S. If you’re new to my world and wondering what the vibe reeeally is on these calls, I wanted to let you know that the way I teach about connection with God is totally nondenominational, and there are no ideological pre-requisites or expectations.

All you need is an open heart and a willingness to be surprised by what God can do for you and through you. Even a willingness to be willing will do :)

your next level

The next level of your mission is not necessarily bigger or louder. It’s simply truer. Less artifice. Less performing. Less limitation. More honest. More you. More of what feels worthwhile and meaningful and nourishing.

The next level looks different for everyone. And it will take different forms for each of us in different seasons of life.

For some, the next level means quitting a corporate job and building a business and sharing your message. For some, it means stepping out of the spotlight to quietly build new systems and foundations for future generations. For others, it means making music or parenting or meditating.

And when you’re walkin’ with God, the next level is almost never what you’ve been culturally programmed to think it will be.

What if your mission was to answer the divine call within your heart?

What if you didn’t have to delay your big vision in order to be of service?

What if God wanted you to drop everything you’d learned about your “purpose” and focus on living your dream — right now?

you were never meant to fit the mold

You were never meant to fit the mold.

The world will present all kinds of templates for your mission and your life (because your mission is your life!).

As a coach and mentor, I’ve talked to many leaders who feel extreme pressure to show up a certain way, especially once they’re known for a specific creation, role, or service.

They feel like they’ll be letting everyone down if they don’t perform according to the old rules. Like there’s an invisible marker tracking where or who they should be. Like their past success dictates their current direction and future growth.

I get it. I’ve been there!

In every stage of my mission, I’ve come up against different “should”s and various ideas about what is required to be “good” in a particular context.

A good activist.

A good diversity and inclusion educator.

A good social media creator.

A good “spiritual” person.

A good leadership mentor.

Attempting to keep up with other people’s definitions and expectations is a losing battle. It sucks the life out of life. It turns genuine service into an obligatory routine. It turns true creativity into stale repetition.

It’s up to you to break the mold and design your mission in a way that embodies your values rather than someone else’s ideals.

Your mission is about being yourself. And being yourself is about integrity, not about being “right” or “good” in the eyes of society or other people, but being right with yourself and being good with God.

Being who you are. Living your values. Staying true to your essential nature. Maintaining your commitment to growth.

This is the nature of a life well-lived. And a life lived with this orientation naturally becomes of service.

keep going

Despite the profound suffering of our world, I am deeply, authentically optimistic about our future together.

And contrary to what strangers in my DMs have conjectured,

I’m not optimistic because I’ve never suffered.

I’m optimistic because of how intimately I’ve known darkness.

I’ve been face-down on the ground, bloody bruised and bereft, literally and metaphorically, more times than I can count.

I walked the razor’s edge of death for decades on the daily.

I’ve found peace in places I thought I would only know war.

I’ve pulled myself back from armageddon, from the story of “it’s all over, there’s nothing I can do, everything is ruined,” again and again.

I believe in change because I’ve lived it.

I believe in love because it freed me.

I believe in God because God personally escorted me back to Heaven from the hell of my amalgamated personal and generational traumatic insanity.

I believe in myself because I know my heart is pure, my courage fierce, my spirit bright.

I believe in you because I know you are me.

I believe in us because I know we are dreaming the same dream.

If life feels impossibly upsetting right now, and you need a pep talk, read on:

As cataclysmically chaotic as things might seem, we’re not done yet.

Not if we’re willing to live a new story into existence.

Not if we’re still breathing, still dreaming, still feeling.

Not if our hearts still beat for truth and justice.

So don’t give up before you’re gone.

Not on yourself or this world.

Let’s keep going.

Breathe big.

Dig deep.

Feel fully.

Remember every time the impossible happened because you just didn’t stop.

Hear the call of your future self, beckoning your forward, showing you just how good it can, and will, be.

Feel the warmth, the tenacity, the pride of your angelic ancestors cheering you on, knowing that you are here to finish what they started.

And then,

take the next right loving action.

Just the next right one.

Not the whole plan. Not the final stand.

Just the next choice that holds the energy of the world you know we all deserve, and the person you will be when we are there.

You in?

I love you. I really truly do.

if you can see the problem, you can be the solution

I used to spend a lot more time talking about what was wrong with the world than I did actively building a different world. I was taught that “raising awareness” was the key to liberation. I was angry. And I also was pretty darn disempowered.

Subconsciously I was not actually in touch with my leadership capacity. I was still stuck in a paradigm where the change would happen by convincing the people “in charge” to do something different. Rather than by paving a new path.

If we can see where systems are failing, we can sense how to innovate an alternative. If we can identify what others are doing wrong, we can show up for what we can do right.

We’ve all heard “be the change you wish to see in the world” (Gandhi) many times, but are we truly embodying it?

We’ve been so programmed to see ourselves as small, weak, and incapable. To see positive social change as something that takes a long time and that only some people can accomplish. To put off the small shifts that accumulate into big results. To pretend like we don’t know the answer because we’re afraid to witness our power and potential. To resist shining because we’ve been conditioned to think that our light harms rather than helps others.

Our world is going through tremendous change. And we are all being called forward to play our part in our collective rebirth. The sidelines are less and less safe. The illusion of security in the old system is crumbling. It’s time to evolve. And we have everything we need for the journey, if we’re willing to commit.

redefining purpose

Your purpose isn’t your job title. Your life is your purpose.

Your purpose isn’t something to find. It’s something to accept that you’re already living.

Finding your purpose is not about what you do. It’s about how and why you do it. It’s about making art of every inch of your life. It’s about living as a prayer for the world you dream of. It’s about devoting yourself to love in every moment.

At the most macro level, there’s only one problem: separation from love.

So there’s only one objective: return to love.

And how we do the work is the work, so, no matter what we’re doing, the “purpose” is still to embody love, to be the change we seek, to live as if the work is already done.

Of course, separation and reunion show up in myriad nuanced forms.

And we’re all encoded to play a very specific role.

But we’re often pressuring and limiting ourselves by viewing purpose through a capitalist lens where we’re reduced to a singular function serving an external objective. We try to simplify ourselves to create a feeling of safety through clarity, rather than embracing the multidimensional nuance of it all.

We’re not cogs in a machine. We’re human beings living gorgeously complex lives. We don’t have to fit ourselves into a single title like “relationship coach” or “carpenter” or “sculptor” or “doctor.” Even if you did that “job” your whole life and you loved it, that still wouldn’t be your whole purpose.

This perspective has allowed me to flow from role to role over the years – from activist to teacher to farmer to artist to consultant to coach to writer to inventor and beyond – while feeling like my mission has remained the same.

When I’m getting to know people, they often are surprised at how many different “jobs” I’ve had. I’ve designed curriculum, led activist campaigns, built regenerative water systems, taught sex ed, consulted on diversity & inclusion, unionized workers, and much more.

From the outside, it might look like many disparate parts, but to me, it’s one totally cohesive journey in which I’ve been living the same purpose.

I serve God, I devote myself to love, I am committed to building a better world, and the “what” evolves depending on what’s needed for that perfect sweet spot where my personal highest good overlaps with the collective’s highest good.

dehumanization is not a social justice strategy

What does justice feel like to you? Does it feel like transferring your own feelings of shame & constriction onto another? Does it feel like exterminating people who you feel are trying to exterminate you? Is it a victory over others? Or does it feel like a stretching, a growing, a releasing... a believing into a future where we all belong, where the ends never justify the means, where we have the tools to process our trauma and the humility to play our part, where somehow against the odds we have all returned to love?

Personally, I used to only have access to the former: a feeling of long-awaited vindication over The Oppressors. But I could only chant “none of us are free until all of us are free” so many times until I realized that, oh shit, the “all of us” includes... All. Of. Us. And that those with material power were often spiritually bereft and in need of reconciliation & healing just as much as the rest of us.

I’ve been witnessing, and attending to, the fearful trauma drama of mainstream activism for many years. (Context: For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been an activist since I was 14 and have worked within many different movements for justice, in addition to training leaders and consulting on diversity and inclusion for over a decade.)

The instinct to turn on those who seem to be the problem and call them names, attack their character, and seek to extinguish their lives/livelihoods, is the programmed reaction if we feel deeply unsafe and subconsciously ashamed. It’s basic projection.

But I feel us all growing into a new way of being. I see my clients praying for the people who are attacking them. I see myself asking God to show me what it looks like to have honorable boundaries and a generous heart. I see the People of The Internet realizing that we cannot treat each other as disposable. I see our devotion to love calling us forward: stretching us into the willingness to consider a world where all wounds have been healed, where our bad guys are just guys, where unity includes sovereignty, where we are all free.

love is the solution

The 2016 election woke me up. The hyperbolic polarization broke my somnambulant attachment to hating others as a form of self-defense. I already knew the government was at best an impotent no-show parent, and at worst an insatiable cannibal. But I was hooked on the us versus them battle. The cycle of expecting others to do what I had not: to love all people completely, to treat others as myself, to not treat anyone as disposable.

As a lifelong activist, my teenage years were spent pouring over MLK’s speeches, analyzing Archbishop Tutu’s reconciliation committees, trying to wrap my brain around Gandhi’s non-violence.

It seemed impossible to me. To love those who harmed me. The world seemed to overflow with pain. My life did too. Discrimination. Violence. Being hurt for who I was. Fending for myself when I was still too young to drive or vote. Finding camaraderie with others who had been abandoned by a system designed to keep us struggling.

And yet something in me kept returning, magnetically, to the call to unconditional love. I kept zooming out. I kept noticing that the anger in me matched the anger in the others, that their hatred for me mirrored my own stomach-sinking sense that I was not good enough. I kept wondering how we would achieve peace via war. I kept wondering who would drop the weapon first.

Am I brave enough to lead with love? Am I strong enough to not confuse love with boundary violation? Am I committed enough to liberation to want it for everyone? Am I humble enough to love everyone the way God loves them? What does that even mean? These are the questions I’ve been living for years.

For those who call this bypassing, I used to feel the same way. All I can say is, I have been devoted to the liberation of all since I was little kid. And this is where I’ve been led. Over and over. Back to love. Love mends. Love moves. Love FEELS whatever needs to be felt. Love takes accountability. Love heals from the inside out.

If we don’t feel that love is the answer, we need a different definition of love, not a different solution to the problem.
